The Vantec Aeroflow - a winner!Strengths: New design is very efficient, processor temp. on my AMD 1800 XP+ dropped to 32 deg. C. after burn-in and chip is completly stable at a 2.25Ghz overclock on a system that averaged 60 deg. C. before. Weakness: None but Vantec should make their sites easier to navigate for info.(vantecusa.com & vantec.com.tw) ***NOTE*** THIS CHIP COOLER HAS NOW BEEN RATED OK FOR THE NEW AMD BARTON 3000+XP CHIP. When I installed this cooler in place of the factory AMD HSF, on my 1800XP, fan noise was not increased and the temp. difference was dramatic, DOWN from 60deg. C. TO 32 deg. C. AFTER BURN-IN (temps from stock 1.5 GHz. to unlocked 2.25 Ghz. stayed reasonable with my other changes using it), and I found the...

Vantec AeroFlow CPU Cooler (AMD) RetailStrengths: Man, this thing is awesome! Just bought this cpu fan and it has cooled my cpu down more than 10c; and as if that weren't enough, it has dramatically decreased my system noise. Weakness: None yet. We'll see how it holds up during the next few months. I can't say enough good things about this cpu fan. Vantec has done an excellent job in the conceptualization, design, and eventual production of this fan. I have been o/cing my Athlon XP 2000+ now for 4 months and the noise of my Dragon orb3 fan was deafening. The temp. was also less than optimal: 50c idle, and 56c full load; so I decided that it was time to find a new hsf. I did some research...

Vantec AeroFlow CPU Cooler (AMD) RetailStrengths: GORGEOUS finished look, super quiet, cools effectively, and cool technology with the magnetic fan design... Weakness: EXTREMELY hard to install the first time, potential damage to motherboard if not done right... ALWAYS INSTALL this to a 4-pin power plug and NOT to the motherboard directly, TRUST ME... I LOVE the look of this thing and the magnetic fan technology is amazing because this thing is VERY quiet compared to other CPU fans. You can 'feel' the air blowing nicely along the motherboard face and if you have a 'viewable' case it simply SCREAMS power. It uses a clamp on both ends to snap around divots extending from CPU slot, but it is in a spring-type fashion. So if you push down on ONE...

Vantec AeroFlow CPU Cooler (AMD) RetailStrengths: Quiet and Cool, while it works. Weakness: It doesn't work. Pure and simple. It's a complete failure. After two months, the thing all of a sudden started whining like a lear jet. In my computer. In my room. A frikkin lear jet. In my frikkin room. A jet. In my room. Nice cooler. Is this the sound of a 5-star rated cooler? Strange rating system if so Look, there was no bigger "fan" of this fan/cooler than me. I loved it. It was so quiet, kept my 3000+ Barton very very cool. I was ready to endorse...

Vantec AeroFlow CPU Cooler (AMD) RetailStrengths: Fairly quiet compared with some other fans, will keep your processor cool, crome finish looks nice without going overboard. Weakness: For the money it should run a bit cooler I was running temps of 32-40 c with stock hsf so I didn't really need to upgrade but I did. I figured if I were to spend an extra 30 bucks or so I would at least drop3-5 degrees. Was kind of a pain to install because even though it's not a very large hsf, on my board it buts right up to transistors, and was hard to get first clip hooked. Installed this hsf with artic silver 5, have have only...

Vantec AeroFlow CPU Cooler (AMD) RetailStrengths: It looks cool. Weakness: It sounds like a jet engine. The Aeroflow is so noisy it makes my case rattle. It puts out alot of vibration. The TMD design is flawed and it creates vibration that a regular fan does not. I read alot of reviews saying that this cooler is quiet, and now I ask myself quiet compared to what?? I used it for about an hour, even turning the RPMs down to the lowest setting on my motherboard it was still ubearable, and I quickly...

Vantec AeroFlow CPU Cooler (AMD) RetailStrengths: Powerful & Quiet, cooled my Barton 2500+ great 48C with Vantec 7800 RPM HS/F, down to 34C with AEROflow Weakness: HS has a grill type bottom, I got Barton 3200+ and went to remove the AEROFLOW, and a 4 rubber pads on my 2500+ were all torn, I belive the pressure to install causes this, my 2500 was ruined ! I had to remove the motherboard from the case to install the AEROflow, the pressure to install was so great, it snapped one of the 3 clips on the back side on the CPU mount. I had a 2500+ installed on this board, and got a 3200+ as soon as it was released. Upon removing the AEROFLOW, I noticed that all 4 rubber pads on the 2500+ CPU were ripping and torn, I tried to install it in another board,... Advertisement

great cooler best ive used
Strengths: Super cooling
Weakness: none
Read any review anywhere this is the best cooler for the money hands down. Im not sure what these people above are saying but if they think this is hard to use, try some others like I have, or better yet try the one that comes with the chip now thats hard to install. This is a piece of cake.
