TV2000 XP can be attached to the established predecessor TV2000 and has as well as the software developed further. This card supports the current formats PAL I/DK/BG/MN, SECAM LL/DK/BG and NTSC and is supplied with comfortable software to use the TV- and radio-reception. WinFast FM and TV software allows recording and playback of the received channels or external sources as well as camcorders, videocassette recorder (VCR) or CCD-cameras. The size of a recorded clip can exceed two gigabytes with FAT16 format. While running FAT32 format, the size can even be over four gigabytes. The playback supports a resolution up to 1280 x 1024 in TrueColor. MPEG-1 and MPEG-2 can be chosen as recording formats for video; for audio recording, there is MPEG-3 to be chosen from. Leadtek LeadTek Winfast TV2000XP TV/FM Multimedia...Strengths: fairly good sharpness and color, or really good considering what it costs. good jpeg capture image. Weakness: it does not record properly and does not remember user settings. i purchased the "deluxe" version because that was all the store had. the advertizing on the box gives you the impression that this thing can do all kinds of neat stuff, and it probably can if you can get it to work. the main problem i had was that it does not record properly. when you stop recording it writes the file to disk, automatically rewinds and starts playing at about 10 or 20 times...

Leadtek LeadTek Winfast TV2000XP TV/FM Multimedia...Strengths: Very easy setup with configuration button to select audio & video choices; Weakness: none (for this price) picture quality is acceptable in full screen mode (good in smaller window); recording video segments from TV or camera is one button (make sure to set sound source in config).

Leadtek LeadTek Winfast TV2000XP TV/FM Multimedia...Strengths: installed easy Weakness: wont go down the toilet bowl. took over the sound card on startup reinstalling the sound card drivers didnt remedy it. I bought three of these cards thinking it was a fluke but realized it was the card. they installed fine and worked well after the install but none of the cards lasted for two weeks before they stoped working. They wouldnt except the software though the OS did reconize them as being installed as hardware. All the cards were done on two new systems boards via 600's. I have yet to hear back from...

Leadtek LeadTek Winfast TV2000XP TV/FM Multimedia...Strengths: Very easy to use, Excellent software, Remote control, Not effected by Macromedia protection from Camcorders, VCRs or DVD Players. Weakness: None (especially when compared to others at this price up to double the price) Probably the simplest to use interface there is, simply record, edit with your favorite software and burn to DVD using your favorite burning software. If you can operate a VCR then you can use this one without any special knowledge, right out of the box! Driver and software install is extremely simple when compared to some competitors.

A/V loss sync When just after the installation, I was impressed by its easier installation and rich features (time shift was really neat). However, after I started to use it, I found 1) poor quality control - the remote wasn't working at first. 2) audio and video lost sync immediately when setting video resolution to "high". 3) some time the picture will be cut off (like zoom in effect w/o my control) after... Strengths: 1) Easy to install and use- very intuitive interface app 2) EPG available with new download from Leadtek site 3) Large amount of codecs to choose from for recording 4) Nice remote included
Weakness: Doesn't look as good as a dedicated TV (but no TV display on a computer monitor really looks good on a comp. monitor)
Great product. I did a lot of research and this seems to be the best card in the pricerange, although recently I heard of another card that uses a newer version of the Conexant chip used in this card. Has a 10-bit DAC that produces a nice picture. The very affordable way to bring Tivo-like capabilities to your computer. The newest version of the application has an EPG that uses Titan TV to...
