AMD Thoroughbred Athlon XP 2000+ 1.67Ghz 256KB...Strengths: AMD name, incredibly low price, and performs beautifully at gaming and anything else you need. Weakness: None really, haven't tried overclocking too much so don't know how it holds up there. This was my first Athlon CPU and I bought it because it was the best cost/performance ration CPU available at the time. Now I am running a 2700+ which is noticeably faster, but this CPU does the job just fine. I haven't overclocked too much but I am thinking that it won't go too high even with my big cooler on it. Stock speed is 1.67, but I have gotten it over 1.7 although it is not all that big...

AMD Thoroughbred Athlon XP 2000+ 1.67Ghz 256KB...Strengths: fast, stable, awesome framrates in all games, can easily run 25+ programs at once. Weakness: hot enough to roast a good sized marshmallow. very difficult heat transfer, get a copper heatsink and a fast fan. core is very fragile(will break if manhandled). overclocked running at 1.84 ghz(2300+) volcano 7+ adjustable fan, solid copper microfin heatsink ak35gt2 via kt333 chipset 512mb ddr 2700 2.5 (crucial) visiontek gf4 ti4600 @ 315-715 diamondmax 9 60gb ata133 7200rpm western digital 30gb ata100 7200rpm both in raid config norcent 40x12x40 cdrw windows xp pro 3DMark 12114 at default

AMD Thoroughbred Athlon XP 2000+ 1.67Ghz 256KB...Strengths: Great gaming CPU Weakness: None If your lookin' for performance this cpu is for you. Great speed and if your loking for more its a good overclocker too. I've got a large ThermalTake heatsink on this puppy and its runnin' at about a 2400+. Pure speed in games and other various apps, with a Radeon 9000pro I got an extremely high bechmark in 3D mark(compared to my previously un-upgraded thunderbird at 1.4Ghz). So you can seriously...

AMD Athlon XP +2000 Review
Strengths: Decent chip and great in its time. Good enough to work around a good budget PC.
Weakness: Not a strong overclocker, you'd pretty much boost it up to a +2200 (1.8Ghz), plus it is only a FSB266 Chip.
This is a decent chip and it is fairly equivalent to a AMD Sempron +2400 which is also (1.67ghz). This chip will hold enough to play some of the games back in 2003 and early 2004 like Max Payne 2, GTA 3 and Vice City, Battlefield, Call of Duty and others.
