Creative Sound Blaster Live! 5.1Strengths: The sound on this card is great. Weakness: none This is creative lab older sound card but it was one of the best ones out there also besides it newer ZS cards. I recommand this card for anyone who just need a sound card for a older or mid-range computer it will not disapoint you.

Creative Sound Blaster Live! 5.1Strengths: Great price, good sound quality for an average 4.1 or 5.1 speaker system Weakness: Some trouble installing software and getting it to work properly I bought this with labtec 4.1 speakers which are great if you can find them, and I love it! I play my Dvds and music on my computer all the time, and the sound is great!

Creative Sound Blaster Live! 5.1Strengths: High quality sound - easy to install At first I installed and played MP3 recordings an inexpensive set of speakers. The quality was OK but distorted at higher volumes. Replaced speakers with Quality digital type the resulting sound was beautiful and undistorted at any db level. Advertisement

SB Live 5.1 - very good but buyer beware!
Strengths: Surprised by sound quality. While I am not able to measure performance, this card stood out subjectively for it's low noise level in a PC, wide dynamic range, and extended frequency response.
Weakness: Card ordered was not card received. Buyer beware!!! Serial number on my card contained SB0200............
This review reflects the performance of a SB Live 5.1 card designed specifically for a Dell. I found out by searching on the S.N.. It is not supported by Creative or considered an OEM card. It was not the card I ordered even though it appeared identical. The drivers and utilities disk provided with my card did not work. Once the issue was understood, I found drivers at a Dell website....
