Aquagate Mini 120

Strengths: Compact, Quiet, Effective Cooling

Weakness: No way to add other componets to it to cool also

Just got mine today from Tiger Direct and it installed in about 15 minutes. I have been able to overclock my 3.6GHz
to 4GHz with no problems. I am very satisfied with it.

Aquagate Mini 120

Strengths: Easy to install, quiet

Weakness: No graphic card cooler. No indication when liquid is low. No indication of failures.

I installed my Aquagate Mini 120 into an Antec Sonata II case on an Asus P5WD2 Premium motherboard with an Intel Pentium-4 630 processor. The Aquagate kit was missing the instructional manual. I informed the shipper and asked them to send one. I have not heard back yet. I've read many reviews before I got the Aquagate so was able to install it without a manual.

The Asus MB voltage regulator leads stick out on the back of the MB which could cut through the insulation on the Aquagate back mounting plate. I first did not use the back mounting plate. Cooler Master web site suggested not using the back plate if you have this problem. The MB started to budge when I only finger tighten the nuts. I then cut the leads and use electrical tape over the leads for extra insulation and used Aquagate back mounting plate. Had no problems so far.

I was a little concern about air in the close system. You can hear a little air when you move the radiator. I rotated the installed unit several times with and without power so the air would collect at the top of the radiator. I don't want air stuck in the pump or CPU block. I also don't want air at the pump's input, I assumed the middle hose on the pump connection is the input (no manual) so I made sure it is connected to the bottom of the radiator.

I'm not a gamer or and over clocker. I got the Aquagate for the new computer I was building mainly to keep it quiet and for the novelty of a liquid CPU cooler. The Aquagate does a good job keeping the CPU cool. The fan is noisy at high speed but is quiet at medium and lower speeds. I let the MB control the speed of the fan. The MB sets the fan to fast at power up but soon sets the fan to low because the CPU is remaining cool.

I connected the pump to the MB CPU fan connector so I can monitor the rotation speed. It rotated around 2000 rpm when new, now it rotates around 2200 after a day or so of use. I don't know why it increased by 10%.

The Aquagate replaced the Antec case fan. I used the Antec fan as an internal fan to keep air flowing over the NB and voltage regulator heat fins which had air flow from the CPU fan before. The Antec case fan is very quiet and did not add any noticeable noise as an internal fan.

All in all I'm happy with the Aquagate but my high end graphic card fan makes too much noise. Next time I'll maybe get a liquid cooler which will also cool the graphic card so I'll have a silent computer.

Please leave a comment if you have the Aquagate's manual and feel there is information in it I should know.

Aquagate Mini R120 Water-Cooling Kit.

Strengths: Very! Very! good cooling and Low! Low! price

Weakness: The fun making noise if have it in full speed.

I'm very happy with this purchase.I have an AMD Athlon 2800+ and I could keep it stable more then 3000= (~2.1GHz).
With this cooling fun I can go up to 2400MHz.But I can keep it very stable at 3300+ (~2.24GHz), running at 39C normal and with norton checking and burning cd and serfing at the internet the same time with no loss of speed at 44C.
This thing made a big difference in my life and save me money, because I was willing to upgrade to new pc.
One of the best - highly recommended

JUST ANOTHER FAN

Strengths: it looks good

Weakness: just another fan

this is just another fan, it does not help at all, it just makes it look good. bad thing aobut it. its that it will take som space from ur case, but still a good product to buy if u are going just for the looks

Good.... for a while

Strengths: Good install, good cooling.

Weakness: Toasted my video card because it had a faulty seal

So I installed this product on my computer about 8 months ago. Yesterday my video just starts freaking out on me, first thing I thought was my 4yr old monitor was dying on me. I opened my case to check things out, and there on top of my video card is a nice puddle of the cooling liquid which had been and still is leaking from the cooling mount off the CPU. I had to replace the video card.

Excellent Cooling, Compact and Quiet

Strengths: Good Cooling, Virtually No Noise

Weakness: Mine was missing the installation screws and manual.

I've been using this unit for a little over a week now and am very happy with it. I am using a Intel 640 HT which runs really hot (60 C idle, 80 C load). In the summer I would have crash issues related to overheating. Since installing this unit my core temperatures have dropped about 20 C and the processor has not made it over 65 C yet. Be careful that you buy the one that has a radiator compatible with your case (i.e. there are two models. the R80 and the R120, the R80 uses an 80 mm opening while the R120 uses a 120 mm opening). I am using the R120. Oh, and about the screws, I dont know why they weren't included, but a quick trip to Home Depot solved the problem.

A Painless Intro To Watercooling.

Strengths: Ease Of Installation.

Weakness: CPU ONLY.

I recently installed this unit on a project for a customer to actually check out the unit after having read about it. Review was correct ; istall is very simple. Cooling is excellent 42c at a full CPU load and at burn in..I think I'll keep this little beauty.

Aquagate Mini 120

Strengths: Very compact, does the job, easy to install

Weakness: None

If you want to watercool just a processor and have a big enough case - this a most unexpensive and easy to install watercooling system. I have D 830 under 60 degrees all the time, even during BF 2 sessions.
