A Good ValueStrengths: Fast and inexpensive Weakness: Five years warranty is weak. It's rated 80X. But in my informal test it's not faster than 66X Ridata card of the same capacity. As long as it works, I really don't care that much. 100% of readers found this review helpful. Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

Review on Transcend 1GB 80X Speed SD CardStrengths: Faster writing speed than other brand SD card Weakness: the reading speed is not as fast as specified on the manual Get the card from Newegg. I use a hi-speed USB 2.0 card reader to test the performance, the testing software is ATTO Disk Benchmark. The writing speed is about 7MB/Sec which is faster than most other brand SD card, but the writing speed is only 8MB/Sec, 20% less than the speed specified on the manual, which supposed to be 10MB/Sec. 100% of readers found this review helpful. 1GB 80x TranscendStrengths: Best Price and works great... Weakness: None noted with the card, but the plastic case is pretty much the same as a PNY case but the card doesn’t snap in place and will fall out when case is opened - so be careful I have used with Nikon coolpix 3200 and 5900 and had no problems with either camera. Picture count on the 3200 is 999+ and 790 on the 5900 normal setting. I'm not sure my camera is able to take advantage of the faster speeds, but I like $$$ saving and no rebate to deal with... 100% of readers found this review helpful. 80x 1GB SD CardStrengths: Fast Weakness: none This is a very fast SD card and for the price, you cannot beat this one. I have not had any problem with using this in my PC and Palmone Treo 650 Smartphone. 100% of readers found this review helpful. Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

FAST CARD cheap priceStrengths: Great transfer rates (assuming you are using a USB2 interface) Weakness: None This card is really fast but there are a few things you should consider before laying out for this card. The high speed card gains are only noticable when you have a camera shooting in burst mode, and when you are transfering pictures off the card into your computer while using a USB2 device and USB2 capable computer interface. The 'regular' speed versions of this card are usually $10-15 cheaper, so consider then and save money if the speed issue is unimportant to you. 89% of readers found this review helpful. Fast and reliable memoryStrengths: Fast write speed, large capacity and great warranty Weakness: none found Using on CoolPix 7900 and pictures are stored instantly, no time spent waiting for 7.1 megapixels of pictures storing. I also have taken 30 frame per second video on this camera and the memory has recorded it just as fast as it was taken. Overall this memory is very fast and with such a large size I don't need to offload pictures or video clips for a while. Would recommend this memory to everybody looking for instant storage. 83% of readers found this review helpful. Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

Transcend 1GB 80X SD CardStrengths: Very fast Weakness: None I've been using this card for couple months on my Canon Digital Powershot SD400 and I can say that this card is very fast. Even though it's not a brand name like Sandisk or Lexar, the quality and price of this card are unmatched. 83% of readers found this review helpful. Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

Great card for a decent priceStrengths: Super fast Weakness: None Don't let the brand fool you. You might not have heard of this brand before, but it works great. I have used it on my PDA and digital camera with no compatiable problems at all. Highly recommended. Why pay $20+ dollars more for Sandisk or Lexar when this one is faster and cheaper. 75% of readers found this review helpful. Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

A 80x secure digital card from transcendStrengths: very fast and it is a bargain at this price 1GB Ultra Performance 80X SD Card is the best choice for your digital cameras and other handheld device. Transcend used only original SLC NAND Flash chips that have a higher write speed, lower power consumption, and superior durability compared with Secure Digital cards made with MLC chips. 50% of readers found this review helpful. Good cardStrengths: fast, fits my camcorder. Weakness: Not found yet I bought this card for my panasonic-av100 camcorder and it works good, after I upgrade the firmware. 80X is perfect to this camcorder and the price is really hot. 50% of readers found this review helpful. TranscendStrengths: Very fast transfer rate, high capacity Weakness: none I borrowed this from my friend a few days ago and was very impressed by the speed. I'll have to benchmark it to see exactly how fast it is but it's definitely worth the money. 50% of readers found this review helpful. Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

Transcend 1GB Secure Digital Card -80xStrengths: Very fast transfer rate, Didn't benchmark it but it burns. Weakness: None noticed Don't be turned away by the not so well known brand name, its an EXCELLENT product. Why pay 20 bucks more for a brand name? This is a fast an efficient card. I wouldn't hesitate to buy another one. I bought it off NEWEGG, super fast shipping, I love that store :). I will use this in an mp3 player and Digital camera, I'm loving the high speed transfer rates for MP3 transfer, files, etc! 20% of readers found this review helpful. not bad, not greatStrengths: it's a little faster Weakness: not as much a speed increase as expected Perhaps it's a limitation of the Treo 650 in which I am using this card, but while this card *is* faster than the "regular" card it replaced, I wouldn't say it's 3x faster, never mind 80x faster... 0% of readers found this review helpful. Great Card, Fast, Good ValueStrengths: Speed and Price Weakness: Not quite as fast as sandisk ultra II for some applications Found this from newegg with rebates making it absurdly cheap, so I took a flyer, not knowing the brand. Performance has been outstanding. Found a detailed chart showing performance of this card vs. others in a Nikon D50 and it performed near the top of the pack, with only the Sandisk Ultra II beating it significantly. Transcend 80x 1GB SD CardStrengths: Fast, reliable Weakness: None so far Excellent card - highly recommend. Got it for my Axim x51v - works like a charm. Very fast - and 5 year warranty ain't that bad, c'mon now... In 5 years it's going to be obsolete anyway. Thinking about getting a second one actually. Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

Quite GoodStrengths: Quick I'm using this card in a Canon SD400, and it's quite fast. Although I don't have empirical data to compare this card against others, I'm very happy with it so far. Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

fast and compatibleStrengths: fast, reliable and compatible Weakness: so far so good The Transcend 80x secure digital card really is fast. And it compatible, works great for my PDA (palm TE) and KODAK camera (DX6490). The quality and the price are much important, though it is not a brand name. Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

Transcend 1GB Secure Digital Card -80xStrengths: Transfers quickly and cheap price. Weakness: None as of yet. Product works fine in my Kodak 3.2MegaPixal camera but I cannot tell a significant difference between this card which is 80X and a 60X card I bought a month ago. Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Transcend 1GB Secure Digital Card -80xStrengths: Super fast and very economical. Weakness: None noticed. Great monetary value for a super fast SD card. Athough I purchased this SD for a Casio Exilim EX-Z750, I've used it to transfer data files from the hard drive so I can copy to another PC. Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

Transcend 80x 1GB SD Card
Strengths: Fast. Large capacity. Decent price.
Weakness: None.
Overall this is a great card. It is fast, has a large capacity, and is a great value. I also have a 60x 1GB SD card by ATP. Although it is not really a weakness, the Transcend card is not waterproof or weatherproof (and virtually indestructible) like the ATP card is. But the Transcend card is faster (80x vs. 60x) and cheaper (about $10 less). I would recommend this card because of its speed and price.
