CORSAIR CMFUSB2.0-2GB 2GB FLASH VOYAGER USB 2.0

Strengths: Very cheap, but Fast.

Weakness: Not compatible Vista Ready Boost.

I have Kingston KINGSTON DTII+/1GB and KINGSTON DTIU3/1GB also. They are compatible Vista Ready Boost.
But, CORSAIR CMFUSB2.0-2GB is not compatible...
Other is no problem to use.

Curious reviews...

Strengths: Durability, casing, speedy and reliable.

Weakness: Cap lost after 1 year.

Reports of atracting fuzz are curious...I have no such problem after 1 year of continuous usage. I keep the drive on my keychain so either I've the cleanest pockets on line, or the fuzz reports are just so much speculative fodder.

Was very good but is now dead

Strengths: Was the cheapest (with a rebate) on the market. It looks like it is still the cheapest. Was fast and reliable...

Weakness: ...until it died.

Bought this little powerful animal (2GB Flash Voyager) on 8/28/2005 from zipzoomfly for $120 minus $25. It was the cheapest 2GB flash drive from the cheapest store for the unit. It had worked like a horse until it died completely on 5/30/2006. At first, it became selective in writing files; at second, it did not allow to format itself (said it is copy-protected); finally, computers stopped recognizing it. The CORSAIR website says that they will replace the unit, so I have filed the case. We'll see. They were reliable with the rebate. I enjoyed using the drive; probably it is time for a bigger one.

Corsair 2GB Flash Voyager USB Drive

Strengths: Very durable, no problems with retaining data.

Weakness: Outside rubber attracts dirt or any fuzz in you pocket.

I like it, very easy to use. It comes with software that gives you the option to make it show up as two drives. One being a password protected drive and one not. It also can make the flash drive a bootable drive.

cheap, and works well

Strengths: 2GB for not a lot of money

Weakness: none.

I got this for under $50 with rebate, and it was a great deal. No problems storing/retrieving files. The rubbery exterior is unusual, but I haven't had any issues with it (but I don't carry it in my pocket).

Corsair 2GB Flash Voyager USB Flash Drive

Strengths: Durability, Capacity, Price

Weakness: None so far

With its rubber design, this is definitely the most durable USB drive I have ever owned; I have dropped it, stepped it on, and even kicked it once after it fell out of my pocket while walking; and it has never stopped working. This was the least expensive 2 GB USB drive that I was able to find and I am extremely glad that I decided to purchase it, as opposed to a more expensive 2 GB USB drive. I highly recommend this drive, not only for its price and size, but mainly for its durability.

This thing is a tank

Strengths: You will get 1960mb of storage for cheap. Pleased with the speeds and the portability of the device. I can easily see how the durability exceeds that of other sticks because it is thick, soft rubber.

Weakness: The cap is easily lost, no locking mechanism to hold it on. Obviously this won't effect the way it works, but the visual aspect of a memory stick not in use without a cap sucks. Being soft, black colored rubber it attracts dirt and dust. It feels almost

It's a memory stick, it does what I need it to do so my cons really won't effect the way it works. They are small things. If I had to do it all over again, I would of bought 4 gigs. Still pleased though

Blazing Voyager Speed

Strengths: Very fast with the quickest load and sync time.

Weakness: Lost the cap but if you email CSGMarketing@corsairmemory.com they provide you with details on auquiring another.

In my line of work I use a lot of jump drives on a day to day basis. The Voyager has been the by far one of the fastest i have come across. With a 10 year warranty you can't go wrong. Then drop the incredible low prices on top of that and your pretty set.

Size, Speed, Service...

Strengths: Large Capacity HiSpeed Transfer Rate (Good Flash RAM) High-Quality Case: equally stylistic and protective

Weakness: Well, I have to put something right? I suppose the only flaw I can observe is the amount of pocket lint it picks up... but hey I can live with it. :)

The 2 GB Flash Voyager is the best jump drive I have used to date. It offers high capacity and high data transfer rates to boot. I don't have a concern that I might not be able to get information to and from work anymore, including databases. No more wasteful CD-R burns. Indicator LED is a plus, and the case is barnone the best, especially placement of the clasp (not on the cap). Kudos to the designers out there...

Good, inexpensive flash drive

Strengths: Good transfer speed (100MB in 15 sec).

Weakness: Cap can get lost.

Attractive exterior (all rubber), normal USB connector, nice lanyard. Good transfer speed (100MB in 15 sec). Cap can easily get lost. Only one cap in kit. Pretty inexpensive ($62.81 with shipping less $15+$5+$5 rebates).

Strengths: Good looking and storage size. Fast shipping.

Weakness: It could be easy to lose the cap.

I like this USB drive. Good looking and 2GB storage size is really helpful. Just one possible problem: I don't know where to keep the cap and it could be easy to lose it.

A Great Buy

Strengths: Very durable, works perfect. Can't go wrong with this jump drive. The cap is rubber so it has a good grip.

Weakness: Cap is a bad design, as it’s easily lost and has to be tended to when removed.

Taking accessories ,(lanyard and USB extension cable), features, and quality of customer service into consideration this is certainly the best deal going. Besides exceptional durability, speed is of course another important area for me and the Corsair Flash Voyager does not disappoint. The only issue I had with the Flash Voyager is the rubber shell is one heck of a dust magnet. The dust problem is really no big deal. Nevertheless, a great buy.

Great Product

Strengths: Huge storage, especially for the price! Far faster than any other usb flash drive I've ever used. Looks to be very water resistant. Rubber casing.

Weakness: Isn't free. Cap is easily lost as it does not fit over the opposite end when the flash drive is in use.

Rubber cap is soft and fits tightly over the end. Appears to be very water resistant. Uploads and downloads are roughly three times faster than any I've experienced. Cap is easily lost as it does not fit over the opposite end when the flash drive is in use. Huge storage, especially for the price!

Review for USB Flash drive

Strengths: Super speed, very relaible

Weakness: NO secure cover for the USB

I had no problem using the flash drive, I could copy data faster and easily without having to connect any cross over cables which I used to do before.
The only thing I did not like is that it is very easy to misplace the cover of the drive, if you provide a holder it would be great.

2GB for a reasonable price

Strengths: looks, grip, memory, brand

Weakness: none

This is an attractive USB 2.0 memory stick with a large 2GB worth of space. Plug it into windows and it is recognized immediately with no fuss. Simply drag your files onto it and unplug and take it wherever you wish to take it. Very reliable and easy to use. Also came with a neck strap which was great.

Great Product - would buy again

Strengths: Rugged, small, unique looking

Weakness: Cap *can* get lost, but so can those of most flash drives

Many reviews fault the design of the cap, but it stays on very tight, more so than most drives, in fact. The drive is with my keys in my backpack, and hasn't come loose yet. The only problem is when you use the drive and forget where you put the cap down. The rubber case in general is very rugged.

With this larger 2gb, I'm able to carry around spare operating system files, and install files for programs that my friends often have problems with. When they call on me for "tech support," then I'm ready.

The blue led is very bright and works great. USB 2.0 has been a very speedy update from my previous USB 1.1 drive.

Overall, a good product, a *great* value.

Strengths: Fast, rugged, has tons of space, 10 yr warranty, an extension usb cable and a lanyard, complete set of accessories

This is simply the best USB drive I've ever used. I've had a few others but none of them even compare to this one. I've had this drive for about 4 or 5 months now. I really wanted to give this review 4 stars, but I can't find a reason not to give it 5. I have had this thing thrown across the room on a few occasions having it hit brick walls and concrete floors. I've dropped it in water for more than a few seconds. I've cleaned it by running water over it and washing it with soap. I've dropped it more times than I can count. After all this, it is still in perfect condition. The part about this drive I love the most is the ability to partition it. I keep normal data and a few other things on the insecure partition. On the secure one, I keep all my important information along with Portable Firefox. If you have this drive, you must get Portable Firefox to use with it. They are the perfect companions. With all the space here, I've got a ton of portable apps and its still not even 1/2 way full. Best drive ever, buy it now and you won't be dissapointed.

Awesome flash drive with 10 year warranty

Strengths: Robust body, scratch free, 10 yr warranty

Weakness: size

This is a great storage drive for its price. I especially like it because of its body material which it scratch free and the drive will look new forever. Also the shape is pretty solid. Keychain holder is on the back unlike some drived in which it is on the cap and if the cap becomes loose, then the drive can be lost in no time.

2GB flash drive for reasonable price nad speed

Strengths: Quite fast, good enough for my all needs, nice looking

Weakness: The carrying strap is kind tacky

Since I bought that I can carry my data whenever I want, even a huge files. It can hold even 3hr divx movie. It comes with a rabber case of high quality. I recommend to everybody.

Data Transfer on the Run:High-Speed USB Flash Drives

We received two versions of the Flash Voyager, one with 1 GB, the other with 2 GB of storage capacity. The two devices look so much alike that we had to examine the USB connectors on each one closely to tell them apart -that's where the vendor engraves the drive's capacity.
