High Performance ProductStrengths: 975x chipset. Fast and stable. Abit Quality. Cross-Fire Ready. Weakness: Does not support Intel Conroe Processors. 2nd PCIe slot is only 4x. Overall I am well pleased with this product. This board may not be for everyone. Abit boards are not for beginners. But if you are willing to do some product compatibility research, you will not be disappointed. Get a Good Graphics Card, Memory, Power Supply, and The Best Proccessor you can afford. This boards really delivers. I highly recommend to anyone on a budget and the newest processors are not a necessity. Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

Great Deal on a Great BoardStrengths: Plenty of I/O ports. IEEE 1394, RAID 0,1,5,10 options. Solid Intel Chipset Weakness: 1 PCI Slot Considering the Dual Gigabit for server capabilities, and High Speed SATA ports all over, this board is a great value. With DDR2 800 support, I am set for the road ahead, since DDR2 800 is not as attainable as one would think. Product manual is very detailed. This board pairs well with the famous E6300 Core 2 Duo, which I can overclock with a solid aftermarket fan. Item was purchased at Fry's Electronics for about $123, which was the best price in store or online. Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

AW8D-MAX (Labeled as AW8D)
Strengths: 975X, RAID 5, 7.1 Surround, will probably support Conroe, Guru Clock, Best 975X board on the planet!
Weakness: Can only run one RAID 5 array unlike the Intel 975X "Bad Axe" (Well. . . I had to say SOMETHING!) :)
The unofficial word is that this board will probably support Conroe (Core 2 Duo), I'll be supprised if it doesn't. This board is ultra stable with a D 960 processesor. Have not reached full overclocking potential (waiting on chilled liquid cooling setup). BTW, the board does not say MAX on it. However, if it has 6 sata connectors and 2 ethernet ports, IT IS the MAX version. CPUZ confirms it. The MAX label is actually just a sticker anyway based on pictures. Officially supports ATI Crossfire. MAY support SLI as it comes with a SLI connector. Have not heard of a confirmed SLI setup though on this board though (I'm not going to spend that kind of money just to see). This is the perfect board if you are like me. I had to build a new system now, and I needed a board that was ready for the future. This board is worth more that they are priced at. It has high performance, high stability and low cost. Until the 965 chipset boards hit the market.
