A can't miss for DDR2 and AM2 sockets!Strengths: 1) Incredible low price for 2GB! 2) Manufacturer matched kit 3) 800Mhz Weakness: 1) Questionable heat spreader Having just purcahsed a new Asus M2N32-SLI Deluxe I wanted to find memory that would compliment the motherboard. Since this motherboard doesn't support the new SLI EPP memory standard that automatically overclocks your ram, I figured that I would forgo overclocking altogether and just use the highest rated memory speed Asus officially supports. The M2N32-SLI allows the use of DDR2 memory modules in Dual Channel mode at 800Mhz so having RAM to take advantage of that is necessary to maximize the speed of your computer. 75% of readers found this review helpful. XMS2 2GB PC2-6400 DDR2 Memory Kit (1GBx2)Strengths: Speed Weakness: None so far I had no problems at all installing this memory into my computer and getting it to recognize it properly. This memory runs extremely fast and I didn't have to do anything special with my computer to get it to do so, which is great. I definitely recommend this to anyone who is looking for a 2GB Matched Pair of DDR2 memory. 75% of readers found this review helpful. Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

Very easy to install.Strengths: No problems. This product work right away with my Asus P5WD2 Premium. I got 800Mhz without having to go to BIOS setup to make any changes. I see no problems as of yet. 71% of readers found this review helpful. Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

Jun 29, 2006 About the heat spreaders: I don't have any personal experience with DDR2, but it does run at substantially lower voltage than DDR1 and should generate much less heat. At least at lower clocks the heat spreaders are just for show since people have gotten used to seeing them on high end RAM. At 800MHz they might be somewhat necessary.

XMS2 2GB PC2-6400 DDR2 Memory Kit (1GBx2)Strengths: Runs 4-4-4-12 as advertised on my Asus P5B Deluxe without any issues. I'm able to overclock my E6300 3+ghz without any issues. Weakness: cost These are quality Corsair RAM and you get what you paid for. There are certainly better performing DDR2 kits available, including some from Corsair themselves, but for the money you will pay you definitely receive excellent value with this Corsair XMS2 2GB PC2-6400 DDR2 Memory Kit. 67% of readers found this review helpful. great ddr2 memory!Strengths: -extremely reliable -lower voltage; works well on AM2 platform motherboards -great price - $150 after rebates Weakness: -not the fastest CAS times as some of corsair's other ddr2-800 dimms; but that speed comes at a premium price I used this memory in a recently built AMD X2 3800+ system. It's the new AM2 platform that required DDR2. Some of the early AM2 nforce5 motherboards had incompatibilities with high speed DDR2-800 modules that required flashing a new BIOS. However, that would require POSTing with spare DDR2 modules (that were compatible), which I didn't have. After researching it seems that most of the incompatibilities were with OCZ modules. Thus, to save myself any trouble I went with the Corsair modules, which don't require as much power/voltage as the OCZ modules do. 67% of readers found this review helpful. Best bang for the buckStrengths: Solid memory, lifetime warranty, low 1.9v at stock ensures very few compatibility issues, OCs to DDr2-1,000mhz+ at 5-5-5-15 2v!! Weakness: Still a little pricey, but I got mine with a $40 rebate which helps some... RAM does not work with more than 2.1v going into it This is some great memory! OCed my E6300 to a 501FSB and even higher, running this memory at over 1,000mhz speeds at 5-5-5-15 with only 2v. RAM was not that warm to the touch either. 67% of readers found this review helpful. Corsair XMS2 2GB PC2-6400 DDR2 Memory KitStrengths: Cheap after rebate. Lifetime Warranty. Weakness: CAS timing is just 5. I bought this memory at $150 after rebates when the memory price just started inflating. This is good memory for a moderate overclocker. I used this on DFI 975x/g with Core 2 Duo E6300. The motherboard has some limitation on the overclocking. However, this is one of the best overclockable memory on that motherboard. 60% of readers found this review helpful. Corsair 2Gb kit, 6400 ddr2Strengths: Price Weakness: Corsair makes it, The reason i wrote corsair as a weakness is because i bought a 1GB kit and the two Sims didn't match, it was very odd. Its surprising i bought from them again, but i couldn't resist the deal that zipzoomfly was offering. There isn't anything wrong with this ram, it has everything it offers, i have to overclock to reach the 6400 speed but i don't mind at all. I would recommend this ram if need be. 33% of readers found this review helpful. Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

Great Ram!!!Strengths: Good performance/price; very decent latency (5-5-5-12 @1.9v); DDR2 is noticeably better than regular DDR. Weakness: None...Unless you are an extreme, extreme, overclocker. You really do get what you pay for with this ram. The only ram out there better than this is quite a bit more expensive. On top of that, you can get a good deal if you find it with a rebate. So far I have not had any problems and could not be more pleased. 33% of readers found this review helpful. Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

Corsair ReviewStrengths: Works perfectly. Weakness: None. I used this memory to build an overclocked Core2 e4300 machine. It's working really well and I have a stable system at 3.15ghz with 45-55C temps on full load. I'm also using a Tuniq 120 fan. Definitely grab this if you are building a budget system and need the HQ memory for overclocking. 0% of readers found this review helpful. Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

Tried in 3 Boards -- ProblemsStrengths: None -- price, if they work for you. Weakness: Um, they don't work well and sometimes not at all. Maybe mine are just defective BUT... In one (Tyan) board they didn't work. In others (MSI, ECS) it was subtly unstable -- until the screen went black -- after trying to reload Windows, even, I replaced them with others and system ran fine. 2 out of 4 workedStrengths: Good if it works. Weakness: Bought two kits and each kit had one bad stick. Waiting now for RMA approval. So far, I'm not too impressed with Corsair, at least with this particular product. It's my first memory purchase from them after reading great things about their products. As I stated above, one stick in each 2gig pack was bad/wouldn't post. I'll give two stars for the working sticks, but paying for 4 and only getting 2 that work doesn't cut it in this price range. Currently waiting for a response to my RMA request... Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

great memory
Strengths: fast and reliable
Weakness: none
I brought this memory kit for my new desktop, this memory works pretty well. fast and reliable. I highly recommand this one. Price is ok but that is not the only consideration for a good memory.
