Excellent Overclocking RamStrengths: CAS 4, Great overclocking ability, Nice looking heatspreaders Weakness: Runs a bit warm Bought this kit at end of April and has been running great at 4-4-4-12 at 2.1V since then. Tested under memtest86 for 24 hours without an error at this voltage. I have been overclocking my E6300 with this kit for the past 2 months and the system runs smoothly without a hitch. It does get a bit warm so make sure the air flow is good inside the case. 100% of readers found this review helpful. Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

Superb RamStrengths: Overclock like a champ. At 5-5-5-15 2.4V, this kit pushed over 1200 Mhz. Pretty looking heat spreader Weakness: Runs quite hot. Consider active cooling if possible. It's made by Micron w/ D9GMH! Crucial binds their chip better than other maker. They are the cream of the crop and use only the best IC. They are becoming much more affordable at this point. 75% of readers found this review helpful. Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

Overclocks well, Will not disappointStrengths: Overclocking ability Reliability Weakness: None Crucial has a well-deserved reputation for making reliable memory, and this kit is no exception. Excellent overclocking ability. The only potential drawback is that 2GB may be overkill. The 1GB kit would probably be enough for most people. 50% of readers found this review helpful. GreatStrengths: Overclocking capability! great looking heat spreaders, CL4 at 800mhz. Weakness: 2.2v These memory sticks overclock extremely well. I had 4 1gb sticks in an intel MB for a while, then i put them in my AMD one so i dont overclock them anymore, but they worked perfect while i did overclock them. Runs really fast CL4. Great price + rebate. Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

Terrific DDR2 SDRAMStrengths: Fast, overclockable, nice heat spreaders, Crucial/Micron reliability Weakness: Higher voltage needed The Crucial/Micron Ballastic DDR2 SDRAM modules have always been very good in quality and reliability. Though it needs a higher voltage to operate, it runs very well at speed. The modules are easily overclockable to higher speeds without a sweat. Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

sweet memoryStrengths: Nicely OCs good lookin heat spreaders low timings Weakness: none yet This memory overclocked really nicely...was able to take it to 500mHz each without an issue still keeping the CAS timings at 4-4-4-12-2T and stock voltage...Defn would recommend them esp with the prices it has now. And of course with Crucial's awesome customer service and lifetime warranty Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

Crucial Ballistix PC2-6400 800MHzStrengths: Micron D9, 4-4-4-12, SLI-certified, heatspreaders, headroom for overclocking, warranty Weakness: MB compatability, may need to run at 2.2v Great memory for overclocking with Micron D9 chips. SLI-certified memory with 4-4-4-12 latencies. Overclocked to over 1000 Mhz without any problems. Check motherboard for 2.2v ram voltage. Gold heatspreaders add to appearance. fast stable memoryStrengths: easy to install, work instantly. high potential to overclock. Weakness: none. DS3, E6320. Overclocked FSB to 450Mhz. memory multiplier is 2.0. can definitely go further. I don't use this PC for gaming, so I do not see any needs to push. anyway, the memory is very decent. highly suggested Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

Crucial Ballistix is Great RAMStrengths: The best chips-Micron D9, Fast and stable with low latencies, Excellent price for top notch RAM Weakness: None I love this memory. It booted right up with 1.8volts and worked great at DDR2 800 4-4-4-12-2T. I am now running at 2.1 volts and can overclock it to close to DDR2 1000 5-5-5-15-2T. This Ram won the Tom's Harware benchmarks for overclocking 9 Value-Priced DDR2-800 kits and I can see why. Rock solid. Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

Crucial Ballistrix RamStrengths: Highly over clockable and very sleek. Nicely priced. Weakness: Is getting hot... I have no issues with the sticks as of now and was able to maximise the speed. Its a good buy for a good price with a good stablility. Hope it has a good reliability... Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

Quality RAMStrengths: Micron Quality Weakness: Price; 2.2v requirement may be too high for some motherboards This is an excellent set of RAM for the mainstream user and overclocker alike; under the yellow heatspreaders are Micron chips (Crucial is a subsidiary of Micron). Uber L33t RamStrengths: Superior binning. Sleek design. Highly overclockable Weakness: Run quite hot. Crucial only makes the best ram and this kit is no different. They use Micron D9 chips and it's highly overclockable. Rated at 800 Mhz but can be pushed over 1200 Mhz at 2.4V. Crucial has lifetime warranty and will offer cross shipping. Highly recommended. Great RamStrengths: Micron D9 chips! Fast, overclockable memory. Currently the best priced Micron D9 available. Weakness: Bought 2gigs several months ago for over $200. This is my second set of this ram. I've seen reviews of people getting dead sticks but I've been lucky so far. Be sure to test them right away. I'm running mine running 4-4-4-12 at 800mhz using 2.0 volts instead of 2.2 volts. My mobo didnt auto adjust to I had to adjust it manually. Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

very good memory cardStrengths: Works well in Intel D975xbx MOBO Weakness: None Incredibly fast and stable RAM. Ran through several benchmarks and flew through them like a champ. Looks gorgeous (yellow and turns orange-ish under blue light). also cold always when runing up to 72 hours Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

Crucial Ballistix Micron D9 MemoryStrengths: Micron D9 memory, 4-4-4-12 timings and decent overclocking. Weakness: I'd prefer either gold or platinum/chrome heatspreaders. Glad to see memory prices get back to reality. Good Micron D9 memory on these sticks. Pretty tight 4-4-4-12 timings at rated speed. I've read reviews where they reached around 900MHz at these timings. Loosen them up and you're good for 1000MHz+ easy. Might very well overclock as well as the faster rated Crucial Ballistix memory. Make sure you have a motherboard that can provide enough voltage. Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

Some of the best chipsStrengths: Yes, these are Micron D9 chips and they overclock extremely well. The aesthetics of these are also top notch for today's standards. The feel and quality of Ballistix are excellent. Lifetime warranty. Weakness: You might find Micron D9 chips in a different branded memory so get whichever is cheaper. Get these if you are going to do some overclocking or get it if you are not going to do some overclocking. These are most likely going to give you stellar performance on all levels within reason. Make sure to do a memory test so you don't get a bad pair of sticks. Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

Crucial just keeps knocking my socks offStrengths: Stable, High Performance, 4-4-4-12 timings, compatibility, looks! Weakness: A little pricey, but obviously you get what you pay for. I plugged these into my new Gigabyte DQ6 and it booted right up with the latest BIOS. They get a tiny bit hot but nothing my Antec P180 can't handle. I'm very happy with these sticks so far and will definitely buy Crucial memory when I upgrade to 4GB. Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

Solid, Fast MemoryStrengths: Stable, very compatible with many motherboards, visually appealing Weakness: Developed errors after 1.5 months, but Crucial's RMA service was superb I bought this kit of DDR2 RAM sticks about two months ago and my system was rock solid. Paired with a Core 2 Duo e6400 and an Asus P5B Deluxe, these sticks are right up there as the top performers in enthusiast memory. I don't currently overclock my system, but when the time comes and I need extra performance, these sticks have the extra headroom I need. Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

Unreliable in the long run
Strengths: Good price, good warranty (you’ll need it)
Weakness: With prolonged exposure to any amount of heat (even a slight amount)these will fail
I've purchase 6 of these kits over the past year and have had to replace 4 of the 12 parts. They just don't last. If you have a system with even the slighest amount of heat this memory won't last a year in that system.
